listen to kim, nikon rules. try and get an FM2, it will be very hard. I don't believe they make them anymore. But those are my favorite cameras.

depends on the user and the pocket . . .

personally id go with canon, its beautiful.

i got the canon eos digital rebel xt, best on the market 8mp, digital slr, its beautiful, just nothing to capture with it :(

From personal experience.. I prefer olympus.
But from that group, either Nikon or Canon; they're most reliable.
